Rooted in a rich history of diverse martial arts disciplines, it combines techniques from various traditional martial arts such as Taekwondo, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Boxing, Aikido, Hapkido, Escrima and Weapons. The emphasis in traditional MMA is not just on offense but also on defense, teaching practitioners to react effectively to various threats and physical confrontations. This holistic approach includes striking techniques for stand-up situations, throws and takedowns for close-quarters combat, and ground fighting for when situations escalate to the ground. Traditional MMA focuses not only on physical skills but also on mental and emotional aspects, imparting discipline, respect, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. It provides individuals with the tools and confidence needed to defend themselves effectively while promoting a sense of honor and responsibility in the process. Our Instructors are Certified through ICAF & MATA. These classes are ranked and belts are earned as the student progresses in all areas of this class curriculum.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is one of the fastest growing martial arts on the planet! In this program, you will learn the core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. Each one-hour lesson addresses one standing and one ground self-defense technique. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and, since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in this program. You’re going to love it!

They also learn takedowns and throws derived from wrestling, judo, and jiu-jitsu, enabling them to control their opponents and take the fight to the ground when necessary. Moreover, grappling skills, particularly from jiu-jitsu, are essential for submissions and ground control. MATA guide students through a structured curriculum, which often includes rank progression and the attainment of belts as students master various aspects of the sport.
